Covid-19 Testing Price

In compliance with Section 319 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d) and Section 3202(b) of the CARES Act, Methodist Health System’s charge for a COVID-19 diagnostic laboratory test (HCPCS U0002, U0003, U0004 and CPT 87635) is $150. Additional services provided during the same visit may result in additional charges.

In accordance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and CARES Act, insured patients may be covered for COVID-19 testing without paying a deductible or coinsurance amount during the public health emergency. Please check with your plan or contact one of our Financial Counselors to confirm your benefit coverage.

In accordance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, uninsured patients may qualify for testing coverage during the public health emergency. Please contact one of our Financial Counselors to determine if you qualify for the public health emergency coverage.
