About Imad I. Ahmad, MD

Imad Ahmad, MD, holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has undergone extensive training in Endoscopic Ultrasound, a technique employed to diagnose ailments of the pancreas, bile duct, and gallbladder. His expertise encompasses a range of procedures including upper and lower endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, therapeutic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and Endoscopic Ultrasound with Fine Needle Biopsy and Aspiration.

In addition to his broad skill set, Dr. Ahmad is proficient in Bravo pH testing, a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure that assesses the reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus. His capabilities extend to various procedures such as Esophageal and Anorectal Manometry, PEG and PEG-J placements (feeding tubes), luminal and biliary metal stent placements, over the scope clips, and choledochoscopy (SpyGlass) with lithotripsy. His experience in a trauma center has equipped him with the ability to manage complex patients with critical medical conditions.

Dr. Ahmad adopts a patient-centric approach in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of digestive diseases. He firmly believes in the inclusion of patients in their treatment plans, empowering them with resources, and educating them about their conditions to ensure successful outcomes.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Ahmad cherishes spending time with his family. He maintains an active lifestyle by running with his sons, playing soccer, cycling, and practicing martial arts. He also enjoys working with single board computers and Linux, and creating EDM and other experimental music tracks at an amateur level. His wife, also a physician, and he have been residents of North Texas since 2018.
